A specific client had concerns regarding the cost to reconcile their invoice payments. They were surprised to learn that our recovery audit is absolutely risk-free. Our review is contingency-fee based therefore PAS would only receive a percentage of the claims that we actually collect. There is no retainer or other hidden fees. If we did not recover money for their organization, they would owe nothing! The confidentiality of their records was naturally a concern until we explained that all documents provided to PAS for review are kept strictly confidential. We offered them the flexibility of working on or off site at their discretion. They were very impressed to find that their records were returned to the original condition at the conclusion of our review. Also as added protection we provided them with a $25,000 fidelity bond for every employee working on the project as well as a $500,000 general liability insurance policy. Very minimal involvement was required by their staff, just brief bi-weekly report meetings were conducted to keep key staff members informed of the review's progress. Our cash recoveries averaged from $2,000 to $5,000 savings per day, per auditor. Approximately 85 to 90 percent of all the claims written were collected prior to the conclusion of the audit. This allowed their organization immediate net cash flow increases, even while the review was still in progress! We assumed sole responsibility for tracking, coordinating and collecting claims. We put money in their hands in the form of either a vendor refund check or credit memo.
